The Love of God (47)
The love of God is greater far Than tongue or pen can ever tell; It goes beyond the highest star, And reaches to the lowest hell; The guilty pair, bowed down with care, God gave His Son to win; His erring child He reconciled, And pardoned from his sin.
O love of God, how rich and pure! How measureless and strong! It shall forevermore endure The saints’ and angels’ song.
Could we with ink the ocean fill, And were the skies of parchment made, Were every stalk on earth a quill, And every man a scribe by trade, To write the love of God above, Would drain the ocean dry. Nor could the scroll contain the whole, Though stretched from sky to sky

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach, when feeling out of sight for the ends of being and ideal grace.

The love of God has been extended to a fallen race Through Christ, the Saviour of all men There’s hope through saving grace.
The love of God is greater far Than gold or silver ever could afford. It reaches past the highest star And covers all the world. Its power is eternal; And its glory is supernal. When all this earth shall pass away, There’ll always be the love of God.
