What emotion do you want to evoke? What are you seeking as a response? From Emotion Greek= The way in which the writer (or speaker) affects the argument. Clarify: v who you are v why you are competent to speak on the issue. v where your authority comes from. Audience will evaluate the writer’s credibility and sincerity. From Greek= Logic The audience will analyze the message by putting it into context. Provide: v proof or evidence to the claim. v logical, reasoned, clear and relevant arguments.

I have always trained with boys and girls, it’s only that we, girls, have always been a minority.
