Migration to Cent. OS 7 • All the sites including Cloud, Grid, Cluster now are running on Cent. OS 7. 8 – Grid and cluster sites are running on singularity – Cloud sites are running on Cent. OS 7 images • Both JSUB and Production system are also upgraded and tested in Cent. OS 7. 8 • A small scale of tests have been done successfully • Larger scale of tests are being done – Production system will start to produce data for ML
JSUB • Thank Joao for testing out and give nice feedback • Yifan is fixing and working to improve it • More feedback and more volunteers joined? • Plan to organize a meeting to discuss it
TPC tests • One common protocol: srm/gridftp is working • Xrootd and http protocol is under testing – There are still some problems found – Xuan. Tong has more details on testing • Some suggestions – Working group meeting to have SE experts join for discussion if possible? – Have more involvement in WLCG DOMA Access and also report status and problems?
Status of transfer • ~20 TB muon data is being transferred to CNAF using DIRAC DMS – Some problems due to: JINR VOMS problem, reorganizing the directory – Now the files have been replicated to CNAF, but some problems with registering files to DFC. We are investigating it.
Discussions on Manpower and Organization • If DCI is in production, there are quite heavy operation and maintenance tasks – Applications level: transfer, simulation, reconstruction, user analysis, condition database access • need continued developments, code maintenance, user support…. . – Service level: DIRAC, Rucio, FTS 3, VOMS…… – Monitoring level: services, jobs, resources, transfers…. . – System and resource level: Cloud images, singularity images, CEs, Sites…… • Besides operations, work on developments to make operations easier and follow the evolutions of WLCG – TPC – Rucio – SAM tests and service monitoring infrastructure to ensure the stability of resources and services – IAM – … • • • What is the situation of Manpower in sites? How does we organize operations? Operation team meeting? How does other experiments organize its operations?
