Rev A Strip ¼” outer jacket without cutting braid Remove inner insulator, twist braid, solder braid to center wire On other end remove ¼” of outer jacket and braid Leave 1/8” of the inner insulator, exposing 1/8” of center wire Solder center wire to twin lead on the side without the notch (near B) Cut 20 ¾” wire Solder 3. 1. Strip and solder small loop on one end – will be together used to hang the antenna end of 2. Strip and solder wire to end of 4 ¼” stub(D) twin lead 4. 1 ¼” Strip ¼” off one end (A) Twist leads together and solder to connect the two wires Measure 1 ¼” from that end (A), carefully remove small amount of plastic where the coax lead will be connected Measure 11 ½” from other end (B) and cut ¼” notch in one side (C) Cut 4 ¼” RG-174 1. 2. 4 ¼” RG 174 coax Solder shield to core Cut 29 ¼” twin lead wire Attach BNC connector Test for shorts with ohm meter Remove outer jacket from other end of coax Twist braid and solder to twin lead side that has the notch (Between A and C where you removed insulation) Solder center wire to the other side
