System Serial Numbers tell us a lot of information about your system. Not only can we determine when your system was sold but we can also distinguish what model you have, what revision level the system is, and where in the world it was sold from. Serial numbers consist of 2 to 3 designators. • The first designator is called the prefix. The prefix signifies what model of a system you have. Prefix • The second designator is called the Suffix and always contains 6 Digits. This tells us when the unit was made. Data Tag Suffix
Location of the Serial Number You can find the serial number on all of our systems on the rear panel of the power supply. The Data Tag is located in the rear corner of the unit, near the power cord. Data Tag
Date Codes and Batch Numbers On most consumables, torch bodies, and PC boards we incorporate a 3 digit code. This code helps us determine the age and revision of the part.
Date codes consist of 3 digits. The first 2 digits represents the week number and the third digit represents the year in which the product was made. 1998 1999 019 = 1 st week of 1999 528 = 52 nd Week of 1998 1997 077 = 7 th week of 1997
