Presenter Kurt Von Stetten, Director of Data Services Youth. Build USA
Goal of the Webcast Understand some of the most common data entry and reporting errors and learn techniques for reviewing your own MIS Data Entry for accuracy. Understand the importance of data review and correction if needed.
3 Common MIS Data Entry Errors • Log-in Difficulty • Auto-Exits • Placement and Follow-up
#1 Log-in Difficulty Main Grantee users need to change their password every 90 days. Clear internet browser cache and try different browsers. Use the forgot password option at bottom of log in pages to have the system re-send log in credentials.

#2 Auto-Exits The MIS will auto-exit participants if they do not have core service dates within the last 90 days. Recurring services assign a future end date and will protect your participant from auto-exit for 90 days from that date. Re-save recurring services at the beginning of each quarter.

#3 Placements and Follow-up Enter employment and educational placements, whenever they occur, on the Outcomes tab. Enter at least one follow-up record for each follow-up quarter. Confirm placements in the follow-up record to ensure a correct placement rate in Q 2 and Q 4 of follow-up.
Placements and Follow-up

#2 WIOA Supplemental Report Use the program to date column to check your total performance since the beginning of the grant. If your placement measures are missing students check to make sure each participant has a placement entered on the outcomes page and a follow-up record that confirms that placement in Q 2 and Q 4. Make sure all certificates and degrees are entered on the outcomes page.
