What we did – The process 12 Months of works with intense period towards end • Defined what we wanted to collect in consultation with stakeholders • Service Plan User Guide • Collected data in excel spreadsheets • Built a database with a web application interface to manage the data • Shift from “Service Map” to Departments • Migrated data from spreadsheets to the web application • Triggered better engagement and ownership 6
What we did – The Outcome/Key Learning Service Planning has returned home • A recent organisational review has this now residing in corporate planning 2016…. . → • Service Plans will be the principle reference for our long term planning Key Learning Some tasks may seem initially complex. Breaking a task into simpler components, creates a greater chance of engagement if you want to implement change. 7
