Working with the data in Matlab Dapper. M is a Matlab interface to in-situ data served by the Dapper OPe. NDAP server. Matlab functions include an interactive lat/lon/depth/time data selection tool and functions for obtaining and using selected profile and time series datasets. Documentation is built into Matlab for convenience of the user. Details and downloads are available from the Dapper. M website. Selecting data § § § The data is now available to the user, as shown in the screen snapshot of the internal structure of the Cell. Array (right). § Metadata can be displayed for any station (below). A waterfall plot can be created for a selected to give a quick look at the selected profiles (right). § § § Example: Argo data from near the Aleutian Islands is selected with the Dapper Wizard Nd. Edit function (above). The interactive, linked windows above show lat/lon/depth/time of the stations. The right window shows the process of selecting data in a time range of 2003 -0827 through 2003 -12 -14. The left two windows show the space time distribution of the selected datasets. Once the data is selected it is returned to the Dapper. M interface. All variables that are available in the dataset are listed (right). Pressing the “Save to Matlab” button will create the selection_1 Cell. Array in the users work area. § § Matlab functions are detailed on the Dapper. M website and within Matlab.
