Laura Hatton What effects can Autism have on the whole family “When I am feeling unwell, perhaps with a cold and my voice sounds different, my sister can tell when I am ill. If I am lying on the settee feeling low I will suddenly see a cuddly toy whizzing round the door and usually hitting me in the face. This is usually followed by my sister clutching a blanket which she throws over my head. She often accompanies these actions with the words ‘All better now’. ”
