Upon successful completion of this class, a Carnegie unit toward high school graduation will be granted. CF I will begin your child’s high school grade point average (GPA). Proficiency in CF I is required for high school graduation. Any student not mastering the required objectives in the 8 th grade will be required to take and pass a course similar to this one at the high school level. However, the grade received in this class CAN NOT be replaced by taking another class in high school. The grade received from this course will be calculated in the high school GPA regardless of a passing or failing grade. ---------------------Keyboarding will be taught and reviewed daily.
FOOD & DRINK POLICY In general, food and drinks are not allowed in my class. This policy is subject to change at my discretion, at any time. _________________ ASSIGNMENT FORMATTING _________________________________________________ CYBER FOUNDATIONS Policies and Procedures All typed assignments must be in 12 PT TIMES NEW ROMAN FONT, doublespaced, and have 1” margins with your name, class period, and date in the top left corner with a centered title. __________________ ABSENCES AND GRADES Weekly and daily work will be updated weekly (bell ringers, participation, and quizzes). Please check grades regularly and feel free to ask me any questions that you might have about a particular grade. Most work will be able to be completed in class if students use their time wisely. Any student caught cheating will receive a ZERO. * No Exceptions* If you are absent, you are responsible for completing your make-up work (one day for make -up for each day absent). It is your responsibility to ask me about any missed assignments, quizzes, and/or tests. If you know you are going to be absent beforehand, we can set up arrangements to make sure you receive your assignments in advance. This can be done before or after school or via email. _________________ ELECTRONIC DEVICES Electronic devices should be kept in students backpacks or purses. Devices should not be out during class, unless otherwise instructed by the teacher or with permission. First offense: Student will turn the phone into the teacher until the end of day. Second offense: Phone will be turned into office and parents will have to pick up the device from the office.
