DEFINITION Culture can be defined as all the ways of life including arts, beliefs

DEFINITION Culture can be defined as all the ways of life including arts, beliefs and institutions of a population that are passed down from generation to generation. Culture has been called "the way of life for an entire society. " As such, it includes codes of manners, dress, language, religion, rituals, games, norms of behavior such as law and morality, and systems of belief as well as the art.

EXAMPLES • Your friends doing an activity that you do a lot (putting on

EXAMPLES • Your friends doing an activity that you do a lot (putting on makeup, fixing a car, going to the mall, dressing up for a date) • Your family preparing for and/or enjoying a holiday • Attending an event (maybe church, club, or study group) that is a regular occurrence • May be a family portrait of generations • Can be pictures of various items in your house that have been passed down

Turn in all pieces with the reflection sheet. • You may include words, or other effects that help explain the culture • This should give us a peek into some culture that you are involved with in some way • Teach us something about you!!!!!

REMEMBER You should now understand be able to judge what a good print looks like. Therefore, you should be using printing techniques like burning and dodging as well as contrast filters as needed. Points WILL be taken off if you do not use these methods to make the best prints possible. Follow the RULE OF THIRDS for good composition. Trim the edge of the prints and neatly mount them.
