Timeline 1954 November - Batista ended up the parliament and elected as the President of Cuba. 1955 - Fidel Castro and his brother Raul Castro met Che Guevara, who later joins the revolutionary forces. 1957 30 th July - A Cuban revolutionary called Frank Pais died during the revolution 1958 March - Many people turns back against the Batista government, and the US stopped the arm supplies for Batista. 1958 May - Batista declared to destroy Castro forces. 1958 December - Guevara led the troops to attack Santa Clara, which resulted a great success. 1959 5 th January - After Batista fled Cuba 4 days ago, the President was changed to Manuel Urrutia, the 20 th President. 1959 15 th January - Castro became the Premier of Cuba.
Causes • To reform the government and country and fight against Batista's rules. • Batista took complete control of the country. The economy got better followed by the government's efforts. 4. People got pressured to work for the sugar production, but they could not produce much. 5.
