FAQ n WFip network: are all the network configuration tools ready? ü ü ü n PLC software: Tools are assumed to be bug-free & operational ü ü ü n WFip configuration tools (FIPMON, FIPWatcher) are available. WFip gateways will provide also the diagnosis information from the agents …but we are still waiting from AT/ACR IN for an even agent to do extensive tests with real equipment Most of the tools are already used and then percentage of possible bugs are very low Otherwise we guarantee the support Remember the generation tools relies on your specification. It must be error-free as well Database - Coherence for field data is OK for all sources? ü AT ACR/IN - How to advance? Support from AB/CO? ü n Support is ensured as it was the case before, but contents are not our business. SCADA & Logging: - Historical configuration (PID parameters, thresholds) is implemented? ü Not yet implemented: Recipes vs. long-term archiving options - Historical Rad. Tol RIO flags possible to record date of change? ü n This is the case as you required for the expert tool logging Sector commissioning: How much support will this team require from both AB/CO & AT/ACR? ü We can ensure training but not unlimited… temporary stuff ? ? ? Conclusions n QRL Sector 78 & Sector 81 AB/CO is entirely implicated not only in giving AT/ACR IN the tools, but in the creation of both, the PLC and SCADA applications, and in the support to AT/ACR IN during the commissioning phase. ü We really understand that it is the “first usage”* of UNICOS framework by AT/ACR IN but… ü n LHC ü AB/CO baseline with AT/ACR IN is to provide n generation tools for PVSS configuration and PLC software n support AT/ACR IN for the LHC installation and operation as agreed between AB/CO and AT/ACR. ü If AT/ACR IN needs more help from AB/CO (i. e. : Code generation, SCADA synoptics and PLC logic programming) as it is the case of the QRL, a new agreement must be established taking into account AB/CO internal resources *Though UNICOS was introduced in the STRING 2 CERN, 20/09/05 Enrique Blanco AB/CO IS 13
