ABOUT LEBANON Lebanon officially known as the Lebanese Republic is a sovereign state in Western Asia. It is bordered by Syria to the north and east and Israel to the south, while Cyprus is west across the Mediterranean Sea.

FACTS: ABOUT RAMADAN(齋戒月 ) -Ramadan ( )ﺭﻣﻀﺎﻥ is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting (Sawm). -The month lasts 29– 30 days based on the visual sightings of the crescent moon -While fasting from dawn until sunset, Muslims refrain from consuming food, drinking liquids, smoking, and engaging in sexual relations.
FACTS: ABOUT RAMADAN (齋戒 月) -Fasting is obligatory for adult Muslims, except those who are suffering from an illness, travelling, are elderly, pregnant, breastfeeding, diabetic, chronically ill or menstruating. -Muslims are also instructed to refrain from sinful behavior that may negate the reward of fasting, such as false speech (insulting, backbiting, cursing, lying, etc. ) and fighting except in self-defense.
FACTS: EID AL-FITR(開齋節) -Eid al-Fitr ( ﺍﻟﻔﻄﺮ )ﻋﻴﺪ , which means "feast of breaking the fast" is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan. -It is a sacred celebration and includes a mandatory donation to charity, and only when the donation to charity has been observed will the Muslim’s devotion to fasting during Ramadan be recognized by the divinity.
FACTS: EID AL-FITR (開齋節) -On the evening marking the beginning of Eid al-Fitr Muslims will gather at the Mosque for the evening prayer, Salat, and afterwards begin their celebrations with family, friends and food. -It is a joyous time for those who spent the month of Ramadan fasting and praying, as they are released of their religious obligation and have been forgiven of their sins.
