JBBS Program History • The Jail Based Behavioral Health Services (JBBS) Program has been operational since October 2011 • The goal is to provide behavioral health services to inmates while supporting continuity of care within the community after release from incarceration. • The focus of the original JBBS programs is to provide services for adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Services included are: • Screening • Assessment • Treatment • Transitional case management services 3
JBBS Today • Program expansion resulted in various legislative mandates/funding streams under the JBBS umbrella Programs include: 1)JBBS Substance Use Disorder 2)Mental Health Expansion 3)Pre-Sentence Coordinators 4)Competency Enhancement 5)Mediciation Assisted Treatment 6)Medication Consistency 4
