Crime Scene Evidence Collection Project

Evidence Collection Project Phase 1 • For this project, you and your group members

Evidence Collection Project Phase 1 • For this project, you and your group members will design and create a crime scene. • For this project you will need to create: • A crime scene with at least 3 pieces of evidence • A witness statement detailing what happened during the crime.

Evidence Collection Project Phase 2 • For this phase, you and your group members

Evidence Collection Project Phase 2 • For this phase, you and your group members will work the crime scene from another group. • The following roles need to fulfilled by a group member: • Detective – The detective will read the witness statement. • 1 -3 Evidence Collectors – The evidence collectors will collect 1 or more pieces of evidence. • Chain of Custody Manager – The chain of custody manager will be in charge of collecting the physical evidence from the evidence collectors. • Crime Scene Sketch Artist – The crime scene sketch artist will be responsible for creating a sketch of the crime scene. • Crime Scene Photographer – The crime scene photographer will be responsible for documenting the crime scene via photographs.

Evidence Collection Project • At the end of the project the following things need to be turned in: • A plan of action – Describe what you will do after you document the crime scene further solve the crime. For example, are there any leads you will follow, any tests that you will need to run? • Chain of custody and Evidence – A completed chain of custody form along with the evidence collected by the evidence collectors will need to be turned in. • Crime scene sketch • Crime scene photographs (these will be taken on my Ipod, so once you are done, they will already be considered to be turned in)
