PROSTOCK ITEM ALLOCATION Ø For Crib. Master Client versions prior to 9. 6 there is a bin allocation utility (not embedded) called the “Pro. Stock Bin Creator”. (This version does not import automatically. ) Ø Within the Crib. Master 9. 6 Client there is “Pro. Stock Management” (embedded) which allocates items into bins and imports automatically. Both versions achieve the same goal of allocating items. (Next Slide) 20
ITEM ALLOCATION Both allocation methods start with a CSV file derived from the Check. List. The data is the same however column order is not. Use this CSV format for the Pro. Stock Bin Creator Use this CSV format for the Pro. Stock Manager. Delete the header row before loading. (Red Arrow) 21

BENEFITS OF USING PROSTOCK MANAGEMENT Ø Saves you hours and hours of time. Ø Output file is ready for import. Ø Pro. Stock Management imports automatically. Ø Removes much of the potential of human error. 26
ITEM RECONFIGURATION OR REALLOCATION Ø Determine how much space you need. Ø Determine how much space you have available. Ø Could slots be re-arranged to fit. Ø Would it be better to re-arrange the entire crib? Ø Are there empty slots? Ø Can a larger empty bin be split into smaller bins? Ø Is the machine full or almost full? Ø If you need to add a large item(s) is there enough contiguous bin space? (Item reduction and total reconfiguration? ) 27
ITEM RECONFIGURATION SOLUTIONS TO ADD ITEMS 1. Replace same size items. (Equal slots) 2. Split larger empty bins into smaller bins 3. If machine is full remove items to add other items. (Reconfigure with Pro. Stock Manager Bin creator? ) 28
