• Things to remember as you write. 1. Use capital letters and full stops. 2. Spell common words correctly. 3. Vary sentence length by using conjunctions to join 2 sentences together. 4. Use a variety of sentence openers. 5. Use exciting vocabulary to describe detail.
Capital Letters and Full stops • Capital letters come at the start of sentences and full stops come at the end. • Make sure your capital letters touch the top line and the bottom line. • Make sure your other letters are half the size of your capital letters. • Proper nouns also need capital letters, so people’s names or names of places. For example, David lives in Scotland.
