Meta-Majors and Advisor Assignment • Meta-Majors are majors that have related courses and fit within a career area. • There are eight Meta-Majors used by colleges in the state of Florida. • The intent of selecting a Meta-Major is to help students choose a major and degree based on their interests and start them on the appropriate math pathway. • Advisors assigned by the different meta-majors. • Larger meta-major assignments such as STEM were assigned to multiple advisors with an alpha break.
Student Engagements: Individual interactions between advisors and students by either face-to-face, email, phone, or virtual.
