Who was Crazy Horse? Crazy Horse was a young war chief. He fought for his tribe whenever his tribe was threatened he was there for them. l He fought in many wars l l l Lost some Won some No matter what Crazy Horse fought.
Early Life • Crazy horse was born in 1844 and the town is Rapid City, South Dakota. • His father’s name was Worm and his mom’s was Gathers. Her-Berries. • Crazy did not go to high school because he was taught by his dad. • He was married to Black Shawl.
Contributions and Trivia § Crazy Horse was famous for protecting his tribe in the Battle of Little Big Horn. § The Crazy Horse Memorial is a mountain monument under construction on privately held land in the Black Hills, in Custer County, South Dakota. It depicts Crazy Horse, an Oglala Lakota warrior, riding a horse and pointing into the distance. The memorial was commissioned by Henry Standing Bear, a Lakota elder, to be sculpted by Korczak Ziolkowski. It is operated by the Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation, a private non -profit organization.
