Why is Consultation Important? v Consolidates workshop learning. v Promotes use of critical thinking skills via review of specific case examples and implementation strategies. v Provides more opportunities to practice Socratic questioning and other CPT skills. v Builds CPT community- you can meet and learn from other CPT clinicians. v Most importantly, helps patients by teaching clinicians how to provide the best CPT care possible. 2
Achieve CPT Provider Status v. After successful completion of CPT training requirements, be added to CPT Provider Roster at www. cptforptsd. com v 2 levels of provider status: v. CPT Provider v. Quality-Rated CPT Provider 3
Criteria to become a CPT provider • Professional licensure/registration, with psychotherapy in scope of practice • Completion of CPTweb • Participation in a live CPT training (2 -3 days) conducted by an approved CPT Trainer • Participation in 20 hours of sanctioned group CPT consultation OR participation in individual CPT consultation for a minimum of 12 hours • Initiation of at least 4 CPT individual cases or 2 CPT groups, and successful completion (completion could include early success) of 2 individual CPT treatment cases, 2 CPT groups or 1 CPT group and 1 individual case • Use of at least one standardized instrument to assess weekly PTSD symptom progress with each case • Submission of redacted case notes, PCL scores, and sample worksheets or stuck point log, if requested. Therapists will have CPT Provider status for 3 -year increments. They will be contacted 6 months prior to expiration of their status in order to renew. 4
Criteria to become a Quality Rated CPT provider In addition to the CPT provider requirements: • Review of 2 randomly selected patient sessions of CPT for adherence and minimal competency. • Collect signed consent forms for each patient for release of patient objective data and session recordings prior to submitting fidelity forms. Therapists will have Quality-Rated Provider in CPT status for 3 -year increments. They will be contacted 6 months prior to expiration of their approval in order to renew 5
