Covid-19 cases – pillar 1 and pillar 2 CONFIRMED CASES – most recent data • • 625 new lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases were detected in Cambridgeshire (438) and Peterborough (187) in the latest reporting week, 12 - 18 October. This is 33 more than the previous reporting week (Cambridgeshire (+11), Peterborough (+22). At a district level, Cambridge (+47) and Fenland (+17) reported an increase in positive cases detected compared to the previous week. Incidence rate of Covid-19 cases per 100, 000 residents CONFIRMED CASES - trend Confirmed cases, and incidence rates, have increased in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough since the middle of September. Recent weekly incidence rates of confirmed cases for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are lower than the national rates. For week 12 -18 October, Peterborough is statistically similar to the East of England rate. Covid-19 and all-cause mortality ONS reporting Week 41 (ending Friday 09 October 2020): DEATHS • • 2 Covid-19 related deaths occurred in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough in ONS reporting week 41 (up from 0 in the previous week). These both occurred in a hospital setting. There were 98* all-cause deaths in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough in week 41 (down from 109 in week 40). At a district level, East Cambridgeshire (+4) reported an increase in all-cause deaths compared to the previous week. Peterborough also reported an increase in all-cause deaths compared to week 40 (+4). All districts are ‘below’ or ‘similar to’ the 5 yr average in week 41.
