Covid-19 cases – pillar 1 and pillar 2 CONFIRMED CASES • 122 new lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases were detected in Cambridgeshire (69) and Peterborough (53) in the latest reporting week, 7 – 13 Sept (Cambridgeshire is +19 compared with the previous week). • The cumulative rate of Covid-19 cases per 100, 000 population in Peterborough (855. 8) remain statistically significantly higher than the national rate (579. 9). Incidence rate of Covid-19 cases per 100, 000 residents CONFIRMED CASES - TREND The 7 day rolling average of confirmed cases for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough remains lower than the peak in Covid-19 cases in April. However, confirmed cases have increased in Fenland (+9), Huntingdonshire (+19) , and Cambridgeshire (+19) as a whole compared to the previous week. Covid-19 and all-cause mortality ONS reporting Week 36 (ending Friday 4 September 2020): DEATHS • • DEATH TRENDS – Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Please note the y-axis on the charts have different values 1 Covid-19 related death occurred in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough in ONS reporting week 36 (in South Cambs). There were 82 all-cause deaths in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough (down from 93 in week 35). At a district level, Cambridge (+1) and South Cambridgeshire (+1) had an increase in all-cause deaths compared to the previous week. Peterborough also had an increase (+2) in all-cause deaths. ALL-CAUSE DEATHS EXCESS DEATHS • • The number of all-cause deaths is below the 2014 -18 average in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, and all districts except South Cambridgeshire (for which numbers are similar to the 5 year average) for week 36. The number of all-cause deaths in care homes have increased since the previous week, but remain below the 2014 -18 average in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Numbers are above the 5 year average in Huntingdonshire and South Cambridgeshire in week 36.
