12 th Grade English Course Options RECOMMENDED COLLEGE PREP CLASSES for the future technical, community and 4 year college student. • AP Literature & Composition 1. Students who took AP Lang (otherwise, speak with your English teacher about taking course) 2. Often read 100+ pages & substantial writing • English Composition 1 (CHS) 1. Students who scored a 3 or 4 on the SBAC 2. Depending on grade, earn an English college credit through Skagit Valley College • Bridge to College 1. Students who scored a 2 or 3 on the SBAC 2. Students who earn a “B” or better are eligible to enter directly into creditbearing English classes in college

Science Course Progression (Class of 2021) 9 th Grade Fulfills High School & State requirements Biology or Agricultural Biology Accelerated Science Pathway (suitable for four-year college or university) 10 th Grade Physics or Chemistry 11 th Grade 12 th Grade Physics or Chemistry Science Electives* *None required- if State Requirements are met Physics or AP Physics AND Chemistry or Preparatory Chemistry (CHS – Chem 100) *Students would take 2 science courses concurrently* AP Chemistry AP Biology OR Chemical Concepts and Lab (CHS – Chem 110) Starting with the class of 2021, all students will be required to pass the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS) to graduate
