UAL Diploma in Performing and Production Arts UAL Level 2 Award and Diploma This qualification will provide you with an introduction to performance, production and design for the performing arts and to prepare you for further study or employment. This is a practical course where you will take part in classes, rehearsals and performance to develop your confidence and skills in acting, dance and singing. UAL Diploma in Performing and Production Arts Assessment is continuous and covers research, problem solving, rehearsal and performance skills. Assignment briefs will be provided at the start of each assessment; these will set out what you need to do, when you need to do it and the assessment criteria your work will be judged against. Submitting work via blog set up a blog for this year, you will be expected to upload video clips, links, presentations, word documents and to write blog entries. VLE/ Year blog will be used to share important documents and information such as Assignment briefs.
UAL Diploma in Performing and Production Arts Verbal and written feedback will be given to help you develop your skills. Tutorials 1: 1 to discuss academic and personal issues affecting your studies will happen through put the year. Promonitor / Pro portal will be used for this. Learner support (SPLD) If you have or think you might have learning difficulties you may be able to get support on assignments. Any teacher can refer you or you can refer yourself. GCSE/ Functional Skills Maths and English go to class and sit the exam. The advice centre has careers, counselling and welfare support available. This can be accessed with the support of a teacher or you can go in and make an appointment.
Units Award in Performing and Production Arts Unit 1: Introduction to Performance 6 credits Unit 2: Introduction to Production 6 credits These Level 2 units will be covered during the 6 week induction process and will be marked either Pass or Fail.
Diploma in Performing and Production Arts Unit 3: Communicating with an Audience 6 credits Unit 4: Staging a Performance 6 credits Unit 5: 6 credits Unit 6: Contextual Research for Performance and Production Performance Skills and Practice Unit 7: Production Skills and Practice 18 credits Unit 8: Personal Project and Presentation 12 credits 18 credits Units 3 -8 are Level 2 and will be marked either Pass or Fail. Producing and Performing to an Audience 24 credits Unit 9 Units 1 -8 are marked either pass or fail. Unit 9 will be marked Fail, Pass, Merit or Distinction and this will be the overall grade awarded for the course.

Plagiarism is is illegal, you are stealing someone else's work. Referencing is using another persons work to support your argument or ideas. It must be clear where information has been taken from, using quote marks and listing all sources in a bibliography.
