HOW TO APPLY FOR THE ERAP The County of San Diego's Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) will help eligible households that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program will provide payment assistance to renters who need help with rent and utilities. Applications may be submitted from March 2 and will remain open through March 16 Only one application per household will be processed Both landlords and tenants can apply; however, tenants will have to co-sign applications submitted by the landlord Apply online at www. sdhcd. org Apply by calling (858) 694 -4801 Direct link for ERAP can be found at www. nationalcityca. gov
ERAP ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Eligibility Criteria § Household (HH) must be experiencing a financial hardship directly or indirectly related to COVID-19 § HH income must be at or below 80% Area Medium Income (AMI) § HH is at risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability § Financial assistance available for April 2020 to March 2021, up to twelve months. Landlord Participation: If the landlord participates, the County will compensate 80% of an eligible household’s unpaid rent and the landlord must forgive the remaining 20%. Assistance will be provided directly to the landlord. If the landlord declines participation, the County can compensate 25% of the eligible household’s monthly unpaid

Info on ERAP is shared every 24 hours through the Stories feature Sweetwater Authority § § City Website o § Shared ERAP on social media platforms and will be sharing via customer initiated phone calls Information added to National City home page, Housing webpage, and COVID-19 Resource Page Every address in National City will receive a postcard from the City
FOCUSED GENERAL PLAN & CLIMATE ACTION PLAN (CAP) UPDATE Two webinars will be held to provide an update on project recommendations and solicit public input on goal and policy recommendations. Webinars will have Q&A sessions and live polls.
