Seascape EAFM MAP Climate Change Threaten Species Cross Cutting and common achievements Accomplishments • Ridge to Reef Planning completed planning in West New Britain (UNDP) and East New Britain with support from Australian Government • CTI CFF WLF – March 2015 – Alotau, Milne Bay province. Capacity Building by Coral Triangle Centre • CTI CFF WLF - PNG hosted the national Women Leaders Forum June 2016 in Manus province , 120 women leaders gathered from Manus and other maritime provinces to talk about womens empowerment, leadership and food security, with support from Australian and German Govt • Building community resilience across 30% of Manus with support from German Govt and Australian Govt. • Sea cucumber : supporting rights based approach to this fishery in preparation for fishery opening in April 2017 • Mangrove rehabilitation program in country • Food security pilot projects in the Trobriand Island, MBP • Local Governors Network, Alotau 2015 • Economic – training on food processing & preservation techniques and marketing • Social - awareness on population control, inclusiveness • Conducted baseline survey on Socio-economic, health and sanitation • Conducted training on internal migration & resettlement in partnership with IOM
