Some nouns are countable (CONTABLE) and some nouns are uncountable. ( INCONTABLE )

COUNTABLE NOUNS Countable nouns are the nouns we can count. Se refiere a algo que se puede contar, algo que acepta un número y tiene . If there is only one (singular noun) we use a or an in front of it. Usamos “a” o “an” antes de un una forma plural sustantivo e. g. a lemon, an apple. If there is more than one ( plural noun) we usually add –s to the noun. Si hay más de 1 agregamos “s” e. g. apples, lemons

UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS Uncountable nouns are nouns we cannot or do not count. ( Son sustantivos que no se pueden contar ) Ejemplos de cosas incontables: bread, meat, cheese, rice, water, milk, beer, wine, coffee, tea, flour, sugar They are always in the singular form so we never use a or an with them. Nunca se usa “a” 0 “an” However, we can use quantity words with them. e. g. a bag of, a cup of….

If we want to talk about quantity we use the phrase how much. Si quieres preguntar por sustantivos contables usas how much e. g. How much(cúanta) sugar (azúcar) do you want (tú quieres) in your tea?
