Costume design and make-up What you’ll need / What you will need to do • Portfolio of research explaining your concept for the showcase • Research of a minimum of 2 costumes • Drawing of your final design • Realisation of your make-up & costume in performance • Costume may be made or assembled. Make-up must be applied to performer by you • 5 -minute presentation to a visiting examiner
Lighting What you’ll need / What you will need to do • Portfolio of research explaining your concept for the showcase • Operation of a manual or computer board • Supervise the rigging of the lights • Plot of lights • Minimum of 4 colours/effects using a minimum of 8 lanterns/mixed • 5 -minute presentation to a visiting examiner
Music technology What you’ll need / What you will need to do • Portfolio of research explaining your concept for the showcase • An element of composition/arranging that represents the concept • Minimum of 3 different sounds • Realisation of music technology during performance (this can be recorded) • 5 -minute presentation to a visiting examiner
Set design What you’ll need / What you will need to do • Portfolio of research explaining your concept for the showcase • Series of drawings of concept for showcase • Scale model of design. Real or computer generated • Supervise the creation of the set used in performance • 5 -minute presentation to a visiting examiner
Sound What you’ll need / What you will need to do • Portfolio of research explaining your concept for the showcase • Including live & pre-recorded sound. Minimum of 8 cues • Levels & Cue sheet • Operation of sound equipment during performance • 5 -minute presentation to a visiting examiner
Stage management What you’ll need / What you will need to do • Portfolio of research explaining your concept for the showcase • Prompt script for actual performance including cue sheets for lighting & sound & call sheet • Realisation of stage management during performance • Props list/table showing use in performance • 5 -minute presentation to a visiting examiner
