Activity A not so recent article in the Kitchener Record has exposed one Mc. Donalds dirty secrets. For years Mc. Donalds has be packaging all of its items in Styrofoam (made from oil), instead of the more expensive, but eco-friendly cardboard. While cardboard can be recycled, Styrofoam cannot, it will simply sit in the landfill, never decomposing, even after thousands of years. Mc. Donalds defended its Styrofoam decision by claiming that the burgers will retain their heat better, when kept in a Styrofoam container and nobody wants to eat a cold burger.
