Experienced a popularity surge due to increase in ethical consumerism
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? It maintains balance between the economy and the ecosystem. While making money is not the principal concern, it is what keeps the process going. Companies may focus on their workers, consumers, local communities, and the world. If everyone does their part individually, then the pieces should fall into place for the bigger picture.
