How can we use copyrighted work? Taking someone else’s work without their permission is stealing- unless used through fair use; Can be used through school work, news reporting, criticizing or commenting and comedy or parody Must follow the “ 4 points of fair use” Use small amount of the work Have to add new meaning to make original Rework it- use in a different way Use it for non-profit purposes ALWAYS a good idea to give credit- sign of respect!

Creative Commons Gives copyright owners the ability to share the rights of there work with everyone else legally. Owners choose if their work can be used as it is or if it has to be altered by the user.
