Summary Digital Copyright is a serious issue, that’s making itself more and more prevalent with the increasing use and commonality of all things digital in today’s modern age. Digital Copyright laws such as DCMA are attempting to fairly monitor copyrighted works and protect the original works of authors. As much as they’re trying to help the problem, there’s still a large amount of gray area regarding “fair use” and the rules and standards put into place. It’s important for everyone to know and understand the basics of copyright because we’re all “digital humanists” now and we should all be inclined to be “copyright activists. ” 5/22/2021 Digital Copyright 35
