Copyrights Act 1968 • Copy rights Act came into justice in 1968 • Divides creation into two categories. 1. Work (Literary, artistic, dramatic and musical) 2. Materials other than works (sounds, film, television, radio broadcasts) • Copy right owners are entitled to economic, moral and legal rights • AIM : to protect work that has been created by an individual from unauthorised use by others.

What is copy right violation? • If you utilise, reproduce the work of others

What is copy right violation? • If you utilise, reproduce the work of others without their permission. • If you are caught and reported for copy right, legal rules will be breached and thus owner is allowed to claim for damages.
