• “What’s My Name? ”: • As we have been discussing all week, word choice is important. The words you choose add or devalue your work based solely on words. • Take your name…Your name has value, and means something.
• **You will be creating a creative visual that represents you. First you need to brainstorm any and all words that describe you or represent your name.
• After brainstorming choose 10 words from your list that best describes your name. You may illustrate your words in any fashion. You can use bubble letters, graffiti letters, or even illustrate the meaning of the word within the word. • • For example, the word “drip” might be dripping water. • • **You need to have one word (yes it can be your name) that stands out in the design, the one word that represents you the most.
• Make a rough draft first. Plan ahead how you are going to place your words on the page. Use the whole page. • Create your final draft on a blank sheet of paper. Make sure all words are neat and clear. • Use colored pencils, crayons, markers, paint, glitter… Anything to give color and interest to your design. You can cut or fold your paper, add extras, or anything else to make it special. Use your creativity and have fun!
