Pangea The land mass that had every content stuck together In the beginning there was only one continent.

As Time went on The Land mass broke apart and the broken land masses began to drift apart Over the next hundreds of millions of years they drifted until we got them today

PLATE TECTONICS Earth’s lithosphere (crust) is broken up into 12 tectonic plates that float on top of Earth’s liquid core.

CONTINENTAL DRIFT Plates have been on the move throughout Earth’s history. Continental drift is theory that the continents have drifted greatly throughout time, and will continue to do so.

PLATE MOVEMENT • Convergent Boundaries – areas on the Earth’s crust where tectonic plates move towards each other. – Earthquakes, subduction zones, trenches, volcanoes, mountains
