Objectives of the AIRSAN Project • Development of an AIRSAN Network • Review and gap analysis of existing international guidance material in the area of response to public health threats in air transport • Development and field test AIRSAN Guidance Documents • Strengthening the core capacities needed to implement the International Health Regulations (2005) • Development of an AIRSAN Website linked to an AIRSAN Communication Platform • Develop an AIRSAN Training Tool to support countries in implementation of the International Health Regulations (2005) 4

Use of the AIRSAN Products • AIRSAN supports the implementation of the International Health Regulations (2005). • In order to ensure a coherent and efficient response to public health threats in air transport, the harmonisation of existing procedures is important. This can be supported via the inter-sectoral AIRSAN Network. • With the use of the AIRSAN Website www. airsan. eu, the outputs of the AIRSAN Project (AIRSAN Bibliography, AIRSAN Guidance Documents, AIRSAN Training Tool, AIRSAN Communication Platform) are easily accessible. 11
