Cooking Labs Role Assignments and Grading
Lab Role Assignments • Each Lab will have 4 people in a kitchen • Chef • Assistant Chef • Dish Washer • Dish Dryer • Everyone will have the opportunity to do each role at least once
Chef • Read Recipe • Turn stove and oven on and set correct temperature • Prepare Food • Turn stove and oven off at the conclusion of cooking. • Wipe Stove and microwave clean.
Assistant Chef • Read Recipe • Gather and measure ingredients • Help Chef Prepare Food • Set oven timer. • Wipe kitchen countertops clean.
Dish Washer • Read Recipe • Set up Sink. • Wash all dishes during and following the lab. • Clean and dry sink area, inside and out. • Fill dish soap container, if needed. • Return all sink items to lower cabinet.
Dish Dryer • Read Recipe. • Gather table supplies. • Dry clean dishes and put them away. • Put used towels in the laundry and get clean towels for the drawer. • Wipe appliances clean and put them away.

Pre/Post Lab Assessment ØPre-Lab (10 points) 2 -3 Questions that are completed the class before the lab ØPost-Lab (10 Points) 2 – 4 Questions that are completed after the lab is completed, same day as lab
