Overview • In the Working Group held in December 2019, we received feedback that CDS Customs Routes are not as granular as CHIEF Customs Routes. • CHIEF indicates which department is responsible for a control notification. • Route 2 granularity was deemed critical for movement of goods through the port. • It was also raised that for Documentary Controls, CDS needs to communicate which document is required for a control. • The programme agreed to review the control notification processes and respond. The location specified in the start session parameters for the client session in which the agent submitted the declaration. The role specified in the start session parameters for the client session in which the agent submitted the declaration The result of processing an Inventory message by the CHIEF system “IUM” M M O DECLN-MTHD Declaration Method The Declaration Method M DT-OF-ENT Date of Entry M ENT-NO Entry Number ENT-VER-NO Entry Version Number This element is used when the entry date is used as part of the Entry Reference generated by CHIEF. Otherwise ENT-DTM is used for the date-time of the entry. The Entry number is a reference that is unique within an EPU and the date of Entry. It is allocated by CHIEF for DTI entries. Identifies a version of the Entry. The version is incremented by a Trader amendment of the Entry and by Goods Arrival (by the trader or an Inventory system). For Imports, the EPU responsible for the Entry – normally only given as part of the Import Entry Number. For Exports, depends on context as to whether it identifies the EPU responsible for the entry (associated with submitter), the Office of Export or the EPU for the goods location. Goods Arrival Declaration as notified by an Inventory system: A code indicating the Customs status of the Entry. See CHIEF User Guide (Reference [2]) for Import and Export values. For Inventory system generated E 0 and H 3 reports, this element is the Inventory system’s reference for an Import consignment. For Imports the IRC gives the result of matching by the Inventory system (not used for Exports since no data is matched). The code for a route (of examination). M This is a commercial reference supplied by the declarant. The Declaration UCR/part (DECLN-UCR/ DECLNPART-NO) should be used as the main trader’s reference to the declaration. The total number of packages making up the consignment covered by the declaration.
