Contrasting The Righteous & The Wicked Psalms 1

Verse 1 l l Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful (KJV). How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! (NASB).

Verse 2 l l But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night (KJV). But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night (NASB).

Verse 3 l l And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (KJV). He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers (NASB).

Verse 4 l l The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away (KJV). The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away (NASB).

Verse 5 l l Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous (KJV). Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous (NASB).

Verse 6 l l For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish (KJV). For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish (NASB).
