Consumer rights: THE RIGHT TO INFORMATION
o. What is our right to Information? As a consumer, you should be able to gain knowledge about the product you are about to avail. The right to information is a must-have right for people; in order for us to know about our safety and health.
For an example, this is the nutrition fact of a certain branded milk. The product is not violating our rights as consumer, for it gave us information about the milk that the container holds.
o. Why do we need to know our right to about information? As consumers; we should be able to know about the items we are going to buy, most especially if it tackles about our health and safety. Knowledge about this right will give us the urge—if needed—to be able to accommodate our needs and protection.
Our right to information does not only tackle about the nutrition facts, but also, it tends or requires the product to be sold to inform the consumers about its ingredients, and usage.
o. Right to Information As a well living human being, you shall be able to know what you are getting and what you deserve to have, and if you know about your right to information, well, you’ll be sure enough to know what brand you should trust and what item you should buy.
Trust & Knowledge If you wouldn’t gain knowledge about the products that you see, you wouldn’t be able to trust the dealer or the company that is advertising or selling their product to you.
Just like on how you trust people, you should know certain things about them, first. So before you trust or buy products, be sure to know about the information that you need to know, for your safety.
