WHAT IS THE CONSOLIDATED APPLICATION AND REPORTING SYSTEM (CARS)? • An on-line tool used to apply for Federal Program funding and to report on the use of those funds • Tracks program expenditures and activities
FEDERAL PROGRAM FUNDS ADMINISTERED THROUGH CARS Title I • Helps students meet academic achievement standards Title II • Supports effective instruction for teachers and administrators and recruiting Title III • Provides services and support for English Learners, Immigrant students and their families Title IV • Provides well-rounded education programs, improves school conditions for student learning and use of technology
2020 -21 ESTIMATED ALLOCATIONS • Title I • $5, 415, 471 • Title II • $740, 375 • Title III • $693, 177 • Title IV • $397, 805
The CARS Process and Timeline Spring Collection (June) • Submit data and apply for federal funding • Provide assurances that legal requirements will be followed for each program • Share with parent advisory groups, as evidenced by the signatures of DELAC Chairperson on the application • Approval by the local school board and signed by the Superintendent Winter Collection (February) • Receive the actual allocation funds for each federal programs. • Provide expenditures for Title I, III and IV
