CONNELL HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2020 GRADUATION JUNE 5, 2020 6 -8 PM • Graduation is an opportunity to celebrate student achievement. Families and friends come together to recognize and honor Seniors. • Graduation is part of the community!

Senior Parent Meetings • CHS has held Zoom meetings the past 4 weeks. • A total of six parent meetings and one meeting for seniors. • One of the meetings was held in Spanish for our Spanish speaking community. • June 5 th is our date due to the number of students leaving for military, on Church Missions and starting jobs. • We have worked with City of Connell Administrators and the Benton Franklin Health District as well as respect Governor Inslee’s recommendations for graduation. • Paper copies in both Spanish and English will be sent out to all families as well as graduation information in the Graphic!

Drive-through Ceremony Keeping 6 feet apart and no more than 5 people in close proximity. Students, and only their immediate family members who are staying at home together, should arrive in waves and leave after their individual recognition. Students must remain in the car and should be in the passenger seat. The school may arrange to call the students name over an outdoor audio system and/or have a photo taken of students as they go by. These events will require scheduling, traffic control, school safety personnel, etc. and may be appropriate for small- to medium-sized graduating classes in less trafficked areas. No more than five people, including the school staff and any photographers or videographers, should be present at the drive-through location, and each must stay at least six feet apart

Please stay in cars

CHS GRADUATION 2020 June 5 th (agreed to keep on this date) • Walk across stage (parents/family stay in car) • Off stage and formal photo by Daisy Jones (online order form) • As students exit the East end of parking lot they will pick up a senior gift from the Sr. parents party committee. • 8: 20 pm lights on at stadium (stay in cars)! • Walking across stage will be live streamed for families to watch at home. Later the live stream will be downloaded combined with: • Senior Slide Show • Speeches by valedictorians/salutatorian, class president, Mr. Jacobs and Mr. Walker • All to watch at home at a later time

SCHEDULE for DRIVE UP DELIVERY of DIPLOMAS 1 car per family. Line up at CBJLS. 30 min. time slots Scenario: Drop off student, family stays in car. Student walks across stage gets diploma and walks off the other side and take a formal photo. While student is walking off, next student comes across stage. Staying six ft apart and observing all social distancing protocols. Eventually we will have two students out of their cars. One walking off stage and one ready to get on stage. Mr. Jacobs and Mr. Walker will be the two others on stage. Teachers have requested to be on stage and will take our place

Hello Seniors and Parents of Seniors! Photographer-Daisy Jones – Timeless Photography by Daisy Jones will be our professional photographer at GRADUATION. @timelessphotographybydaisy @timelessphotographydaisyrjones A professional photo will be taken of every graduate in front of a professional photo back drop, after they cross the stage and receive their diploma at our drive thru graduation ceremony on June 5 th. Daisy is also offering multiple packages you can choose from, or you can even just order 1 portrait. She will also be compiling a "composite" senior class portrait with every graduate, since we aren't able to do the traditional group photo. Graduation Prep Caps must be decorated in a school appropriate way. Students must wear appropriate attire under their gowns Cars must be decorated appropriately - Nothing should be on vehicle that is doing anything but supporting graduation - No political statements - This ceremony is about the graduates and everything about it should be focused on this. Show up @ designated time based off of last name Graduate will be the only person getting out of car 1 car per graduate; 10 people maximum per car (all immediate family members) Grassy area by stage is off limits
