DEFINITION Conjunction- the action or an instance of two or more events or things occurring at the same point in time or space Independent clause-is a clause that can stand by itself as a simple sentence. An independent clause contains a subject and a predicate; it makes sense by itself and therefore expresses a complete thought.
EXAMPLES - Julia likes to eat cake, Frank likes to eat soup. -They wanted to go to the mall but Stacey was sick. -Miriam said she didn’t like math class for it was too much homework. - Billy didn’t want to mow the grass and his attitude showed it. - I started my essay early so I will not wait until the last minute.

HOW TO CORRECT - Option 1: Make into two complete sentences -Option 2: Use a comma with a coordinating conjunction (FANBOY) -Option 3: Use a semi colon -Option 4: Use a subordinate conjunction (After, although, as if, etc. )
