Types of Conjunction 1) Coordinating Conjunction – Used to connect word, clauses and phrases of equal rank or importance (and, but, or, nor, for, yet, so) And – Combine two words/ sentences/ ideas But – Connect contrast ideas Or – Express a choice between two things Nor – Combine two negated words/ sentences For – Conjunction of purpose or reason Yet – Express something that has not happened but you expect it to happen So - Conjunction of result or consequence

Or – Show choices between two things Neither…Nor – Refuse both of the choices Both. . . And – Combine two ideas Weather…Or – Express doubt or choice between two things Not Only…But Also – Inclusion of more than one thing
