Conjugation? What does that mean? Conjugation (according to Ms. Stubbs) is putting a subject and verb together correctly. You do this in English and Spanish on a daily basis with no thought. Examples: I go Subject and verb He listens Subject and correct form of the verb We are writing subject and verbs
Subject Pronouns Je/j’ I Nous we Tu you (familiar) Vous you (polite/plural) Il he Elle she Ils they On we, they, you Elles they (all feminine)
Subject Pronouns yo I Nosotros/nosotras we Tú you (familiar) Vosotros/vosotras you (plural in Spain) él he Ella she usted you (polite) ellos they Ellas they (all feminine)
Conjugation Rules 1. If you have a singular subject, use the il/elle/on form of the verb. examples of singular subjects: Pierre, Anne, l’avocat, le mec, une demoiselle 2. If you have a plural subject, use the ils/elles forms of the verb. examples of plural subjects: Pierre et Anne, les avocats, les mecs, des demoiselles 3. If you have a subject plus et moi (and me), use the nous form of the verb. Pierre et moi, Anne et moi, le mec et moi, une demoiselle et moi
