— ABB pre-fabricated solutions
— ABB – Datacenter Solutions and Packages Pre-engineered, pre-fabricated and integrated packaging solutions What is ABB packaging and Solutions? ABB portfolio includes different solutions to connect power to the data center. Main solutions can be divided into 5 categories: 1: Product packaging - Supply all electrical equipment for final integration on site. (MV switchgear, transformers, UPS +battery system, LV switchgear, Protection and Control packages (COM 600 and ZENON). Note: Could also be 3 rd party equipment and other ABB products (Power Grid, Ind. Automation) 2: Indoor/Outdoor skid - Prefabricated power distribution module which includes indoor rated LV Switchboard, transformer, MV switchgear and required SCADA interfaces, for rapid installation inside/outside a building 3: Compact Secondary Substation (CSS) - Prefabricated substation which includes a LV Switchboard, transformer, and MV switchgear installed in a type tested enclosure. 4: e. House - Metal enclosed and insulated building with distribution equipment, UPS, controls, and environmental equipment installed and coordinated in a factory setting. 5: Mobile substation - Perfect solution for interim grid connections and temporary power supplies. Equipment are mounted on a trailer or railcar. May 18, 2021 Slide 13 For internal use only.
— ABB – Datacenter Solutions and Packages 1. Integrated packages May 18, 2021 Slide 14 Packaged solution Products are coordinated both logistically and interconnections. Technical analysis of the request by the packaging quotation team Project management: Design to delivery - single point of contact for all ABB and third party equipment. Order entry, Issue PO’s to ABB and third party products, change-orders, scheduling, document control, invoicing, logistics Worldwide reach: Global leader with huge installed base, global service coverage and high level of engineering capabilities. Coordinated solution: Coordinated delivery schedules avoid delays, mitigate risk, reducing costs, offering a single set of terms and conditions and increase value for the end users. Reduced overall cost: Leveraging Global ABB purchasing power.

Indoor / Outdoor skids Simple and quick installation Units are pre-designed, pre-tested and assembled at the factory, and shipped in one piece so it’s simple to drop in place and connect cables. Pre-engineered products Technical analysis of modular and concept with pre-engineered designs to be combined to meet project requirements. Type tested Engineered skid to meet structural and site requirements. Indoor construction Reduced weight and smallest footprint Compact May 18, 2021 Slide 15 The size is small and lightweight within standard transportation limitations, providing ease of placement
— ABB – Datacenter Solutions and Packages 3. Compact Secondary Substations (CSS) May 18, 2021 Slide 16 Enclosed solution All equipment is installed into controlled environment. This extends service intervals and limits influence of external conditions on electrical equipment. Reliable locking systems also increase safety. Simple and quick installation Units are pre-designed, pre-tested and assembled at the factory, and shipped in one piece so it’s simple to drop in place and connect cables. Pre-engineered products Modular and scalable concept with pre-engineered designs combined to meet project requirements. Single piece delivery All critical electrical equipment, i. e. transformer and MV switchgear are preassembled in factory environment and routine tested to ensure assembly quality. Available in Various Material Choices Enclosures are available in metal, concrete and GRP. While traditional materials such as metal and concrete meet requirements, ABB’s GRP enclosure provide an ideal advantage in a stronger, lighter, more durable and better thermally-insulated enclosure Robust design For CSS, enclosures are available in metal, concrete and GRP. While traditional materials such as metal and concrete meet requirements, ABB’s GRP enclosure provide an ideal advantage in a stronger, lighter, more durable and better thermally-insulated enclosure. Integrated oil pit Safety: internal arc tested Solutions are designed with integrated oil pit to ensure environmental safety. Substations are internally arc tested according to relevant IEC (also GB, AS, etc. ) 62271 -202. IAC AB 20 k. A 1 s substations provide higher safety standards for public and service personnel. ABB Ability™ ABB Ability provides predictive maintenance and remote management through, smart sensing and communication, internet based management, data historian and connected asset lifecycle management. Homologation Electrical equipment conforms to local regulations.
— ABB – Datacenter Solutions and Packages 4. e. House May 18, 2021 Slide 17 Fully integrated system Minimum site work required. Reduced cycle time reduced risk. Higher level safety and security. Factory engineering and assembly done at manufacturers works. Customized substation of MV, LV, controls, and trafo made to specific requirements of the customer. Better insulation and thermal management HVAC system is integrated into the structure, wall thickness designed to match outdoor ambient temperatures , and structure has higher fire ratings and can resist hurricane force winds. Reduced site resources ABB responsible for integration and execution completed in secured off site location. Pre-wired, pre-tested, FAT at manufacturers works ready for site energization.
— ABB – Datacenter Solutions and Packages 5. Mobile substation May 18, 2021 Slide 18 Mobile temporary installation Units are pre-designed, pre-tested and assembled at the factory on a mobile platform. Making installation simple to place and connect cables. Pre-engineered products Modular and concept with pre-engineered designs to be combined to meet project requirements. Type tested according to applicable standards. Semi-enclosed solution Equipment protected from open environment. Some items installed in a lockable enclosure that controls access for equipment and prevent unauthorized entry. Compact The size is small and lightweight within standard transportation limitations, providing ease of placement.
— ABB Datacenter Solutions and Packages Eliminate risk, time and site activities – on time! Through pre-fabricated and/or pre-engineered packages ABB offer: 1. Be one face towards client. Typical ABB deliveries: • Coordinated projects including loose equipment, engineering, integration and commissioning. 3. Full logistic responsibility. • e. Houses with typically MV/LV switchgears, dist. Transformer, UPS, busduct, PDU. 4: Reduce risk on-site by pre-fabricated solutions • Reduce installation time on site. • Reduce risk by reducing cabling activities. • Reduce testing and on-site commissioning as pre-tested in factory environment. • Indoor MV and LV switchgears on skids. • Complex skids including several equipment, e. g. MV/LV/Tx/UPS/SCADA/Control 2. Manage, coordinate and facilitate tenders and project execution. May 18, 2021 Slide 19 For internal use only. All mentioned projects usually include onsite management, installation and commissioning.
