Concussion in sport in University • Awareness of concussion and its presentation/management is variable • Different clubs have different guidelines and many clubs have no guidelines • At training/matches some teams have medical support but majority counting on coaches/referees/team mates. • Living away from home- often no supervision post concussion • Course work/deadlines / exams

Symptoms Vast majority had physical and thinking symptoms. 1 student was documented to have mood issues Headache Poor Focus Dizziness Nausea Sleep issues Foggy 17 10 6 4 3 3
• Previous concussion documented in 4 students • Left field of play immediately post concussion- 5 • 7/12 (almost 60%) continued to play after suffering a concussion
