Telling a joke Task today: We will be using the computer program called scratch to make our sprite tell us a joke.

1. Go onto google and type in Scratch 2. Click on the top link 3. You will arrive onto this page. Click on Create

Click on events

Move into the middle box This means when the green flag is clicked your sprite will do the things you have programmed it to do. Don’t worry, it won’t do anything yet as we haven’t programmed it yet.

Go to looks. Move box like this. to the middle

Go to control, move like this. to the middle

Go to looks. Move to the middle but change ‘hello’ to your joke. Mine says ‘Why did the banana go to the doctors? To change it Just click on it and start typing!

Go back to control and move to the middle like this but change it to 4 seconds!

The punchline to your joke. Go to looks and move Change it to Your punchline! Mine says ‘Because It wasn’t peeling Well!’ to the middle like this.

Well Done you have completed the task! • Click on the green flag to watch your sprite tell the joke.
