Standard Format USE OF THIS FORMAT The report format you are about to review was developed by Computer Ingenuity Associates. The format is based on the Standard Operating Report used by Hotel Operators in the United States. This format is used almost exclusively by every major Management Company, REIT, and publicly traded Hotel Operator, with only minor differences between them. This is the format required by bankers, lenders, and other investors. This is the format that is used by Underwriters, Analysts, Hotel Asset Managers. Use of this specific format, as displayed here in, is strictly prohibited, without the written permission of Computer Ingenuity Associates. This Chart of Accounts is being presented to you as a visualization what your Operating Statement should look like. It is for informational purposes only, and does not imply permission for you to use this as the setup of your Operating Statement without written permission from Computer Ingenuity Associates. This format is based on the USALI 11 th Edition, but has been customize for use by clients of Computer Ingenuity Associates. This Operating Statement Report, can be used with an automated interface to several accounting systems, including the Intuit Quickbooks Online version set up for hotel operators. You can get a minimum level of comparability by making sure that your Monthly P&L satisfies at LEAST the following requirements: 1. Subtotaled by Department 2. Subtotals for Payroll, Burden, and Other Expense 3. Payroll is Separated from Burden 4. Separate account for each Payroll Position 5. Rules for separating Above GOP, and Below GOP expenses are in place The other features described below are necessary to satisfy a variety of other requirements, including the format required by many investors. Additionally, many of the comparable data points and metrics in our standard format will greatly improve your ability to benefit from industry comparison reports. These features are used by large operators in order to make operational decisions and maximize profits.
